Who we are
The HALTON-PEEL HISPANIC ASSOCIATION (HPHA) is a non-profit and non-government organization (NGO) registered with the Canadian government with a clearly-defined mandate.
We strive to enhance cultural awareness and to enrich our community, sharing ideas, and providing experiences.
Our Goals are:
- • To provide a venue of expression for Hispanic artists living in the area.
- • To inform, preserve and promote our Hispanic culture and its traditions.
- • To promote cultural pride through a combination of special events throughout the year.
- • To further the understanding of our Hispanic culture by empowering the artists who promote it.
Latin Christmas Gala Dinner 2011
Over 200 people attended last 2011 Latin Christmas Dinner Gala held on November 19th, 2011 at the Pearson Convention Center and organized by the Halton Peel Hispanic Association.
Highlights of this evening were the performances of "Mariachi Mexico Amigo", poet and Tango singer "Eduardo Saraiva", Tango dancers "Hanna y Daniel Guajardo", which made this night enjoyable for all the Gala guests.
After an outstanding dinner, all the guests were delighted by the performance of "Sabor a Cafe" band.
The dinner progressed in a fraternal and pleasant course; recognizing HPHA work for pursuing their ultimate goal, open the first Cultural Centre and Library for all Hispanic people in Canada.
HPHA thank hereby the great support of their sponsors, Scotiabank, Fernando Roofing & Aluminum and Physio Active Rehab Clinic, without their help we wouldn't be able to carry out this great event.
